Your Workspace Print Shop includes an XML product feed. You can use this feed with advertising platforms that accept a scheduled catalogue or product data source.
Facebook and Instagram shopping availability is controlled by Meta and varies by account and region. These shopping features are not generally available as an active selling route for New Zealand businesses, so do not rely on them as the only way to promote your Print Shop. Your XML feed may still be useful for catalogue-based advertising where the platform supports it.
Find your XML feed
- Open your Print Shop gallery in Workspace.
- Open the gallery Settings.
- Find the XML product feed link. The address ends in /printshop.xml.
- Copy the complete URL.
The feed is generated from the products in your Print Shop. Customers complete their purchase in your Workspace Print Shop; an advertisement should direct them back to the relevant shop or product page.
Prepare your Print Shop first
Before using the feed, review the products that customers will see.
- Use clear product names and descriptions.
- Check prices, currency and availability.
- Use suitable display images.
- Make sure the Print Shop and product links open correctly.
- Remove or update products you no longer want to promote.
Add the feed to an advertising platform
In the advertising platform, create a catalogue or product data source and choose the option to use a scheduled feed or feed URL. Paste the Workspace XML address and follow the platform’s validation steps.
The names of these controls change regularly. Refer to the advertising platform’s current documentation for account eligibility, supported markets, catalogue setup and advertising requirements.
Check the feed after connecting it
Review any warnings or rejected products in the advertising platform. Common problems include missing display images, incomplete descriptions, unavailable products, currency settings or a product page that cannot be opened.
Whenever you make substantial changes to the Print Shop, allow the advertising platform to refresh the feed and then check the catalogue again. Approval by an advertising platform is separate from the product being available in Workspace.
