Self-fulfilment lets you sell products through a Workspace Shopping Cart while remaining responsible for producing, packing and delivering those products yourself. It is available on Pro and Pro+ plans.
This is useful when you want to sell something that is not produced by Queensberry, use another supplier, deliver a service or handle a product locally.
What self-fulfilment means
Workspace can present the product, collect the order information and process an online payment through your connected Stripe account. Once the sale is placed, you are responsible for every part of fulfilment, including:
- Confirming that the order details are correct.
- Producing or sourcing the product.
- Checking its quality.
- Packing and shipping it or arranging collection.
- Communicating delivery expectations.
- Handling changes, returns, replacements and complaints.
Queensberry does not receive or manufacture a self-fulfilled product.
Set up self-fulfilment in a price list
- Create or edit a Gallery Price List.
- Choose the fulfilment option that includes self-fulfilment.
- Add the products or packages you intend to fulfil.
- Set your retail prices.
- Enter the shipping amount you want the customer to be charged for self-fulfilled orders or packages.
- Review the price list from the customer view before attaching it to a live gallery or Print Shop.
Make the product name and description specific enough that the customer understands what you will supply. Include important choices, limitations and expected delivery information.
Queensberry and self-fulfilled products in one price list
A price list can offer Queensberry-fulfilled products, self-fulfilled products or both. If an order contains both types, each part follows its own fulfilment path:
- Queensberry produces and sends the Queensberry-fulfilled products.
- You produce and send the self-fulfilled products.
- The customer may be charged both the Queensberry delivery charge and your self-fulfilment shipping charge.
Make this clear before launch so the customer is not surprised by separate deliveries or shipping charges.
Payments and charges
Workspace does not charge commission on self-fulfilled products, including the self-fulfilled products in a mixed order. Normal payment-processing charges from Stripe may still apply.
Queensberry product, freight and fulfilment costs apply only to the products Queensberry supplies. You must also allow for your own production, packaging, delivery and support costs.
Self-fulfilment is intended for purchases in your own region. Check the available settings and delivery area before offering it to customers elsewhere.
When an order is placed
Review the sale in Sales & Activity and check the self-fulfilled items, customer details, payment status and delivery information. Do not assume that Queensberry will action these items. Produce and dispatch them according to the expectations you set with the customer.
If the same order contains Queensberry products, track those separately from the items you are supplying.
Before making self-fulfilment available
- Review the complete checkout experience.
- Confirm your price covers production, packaging, payment fees, shipping, tax and your intended profit.
- Explain turnaround and delivery clearly.
- Decide how you will handle damaged, incorrect or delayed products.
- Keep your product availability and pricing current.
