How to replace or remove files from a live Client Gallery

You can replace or remove an image when you discover a file problem in a live Client Gallery. Make the correction carefully, especially when the gallery is connected to downloads or product sales.

Before changing the file

  • Confirm the exact filename and collection.
  • Keep a backup of the original file.
  • Prepare the corrected file using the required colour, size and export settings.
  • Check whether clients have already downloaded or ordered the image.

Replace the gallery image

Replace the affected image in the gallery, then open the public gallery and inspect the corrected version. Check its crop, colour, orientation, filename and any products that use it.

Replacing a file changes the image available for future viewing, downloads and orders. It does not alter an order that has already been placed.

If the image may have been ordered

  1. Review the gallery’s sales and export the order information if needed.
  2. Identify any order that contains the affected file.
  3. Contact Queensberry urgently with the order number, gallery and filename.

If production has started, a correction may require reprinting and charges may apply. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be corrected before delivery.

Remove an image

Remove an image when it should no longer be available to clients. Check whether it appears in more than one collection and whether a client has favourited, downloaded or ordered it. Removing it from the gallery does not cancel or change an existing order.

Check connected records

If the gallery was created or updated through an importer, Lightroom workflow or another source file, correct that source as well. Otherwise, importing or uploading again may reintroduce the original problem.
