A Print Shop should be reviewed after launch, not treated as a one-time setup. Regular maintenance keeps the products accurate, the gallery easy to browse and advertising links useful.
Review the shop structure
- Use collections or categories to group related work where this helps customers browse.
- Keep names short, clear and consistent.
- Remove duplicate or outdated display images.
- Put the strongest and most useful work near the beginning.
Check products and pricing
- Confirm that each displayed image has the products you intend to sell.
- Review product sizes and aspect ratios so customers understand the crop.
- Check prices, finishes, shipping and any self-fulfilled products.
- Remove products that are no longer available.
Review display images
Print Shop display images help customers understand what they are buying. Use clean, accurate images and review their crop on both phones and larger screens. When the product itself needs explanation, add useful descriptive text rather than relying on the image alone.
Test the customer journey
Periodically open the public Print Shop and follow the same steps as a customer.
- Browse the shop and open several products.
- Select images and product options.
- Add an item to the cart.
- Review the checkout information without completing an unnecessary order.
- Check links from your main website, campaigns and advertisements.
You do not need to repeat every test after a small wording change. A fuller review is most useful after changing the price list, products, shipping, gallery structure or website integration.
Keep advertising feeds current
If you use the Print Shop XML feed with an advertising platform, check its catalogue after substantial changes. Resolve rejected products and make sure advertisements still lead to active, relevant pages.
