How to create a self-booking package and booking page

A self-booking package lets someone choose an available session and provide the required booking information online. Set the package, availability and policies before adding it to a public booking page.

Create or copy a package

  1. Open Client Management.
  2. Select Bookings & Availability.
  3. Open Self-Booking Packages.
  4. Copy a suitable template or create a new package.

Define the booking

Review the available settings for:

  • title and photography specialty;
  • session length and booking intervals;
  • minimum notice and maximum bookings;
  • location and scheduling mode;
  • price, deposit or payment requirement;
  • booking notes, policies and optional contract; and
  • the included items and optional extras.

Connect a suitable Project Workflow when you want a confirmed booking to begin a repeatable internal process.

Review availability

Check that working hours, blocked time, notice periods and buffers reflect how you actually schedule sessions. Leave enough time for preparation, travel and overrun where relevant.

Enable the package

Make the package available only after its wording, price, inclusions and policies are ready. Read Best practices for self-booking packages.

Add it to a website page

  1. Open Website Pages.
  2. Create or edit the page that will contain your booking options.
  3. Add the Booking widget.
  4. Select the packages to display.
  5. Save and publish the page.

Review the complete booking path

Open the page as a client and check the available dates, package details, information requested, payment step and confirmation. You do not need to place repeated paid bookings; review the configuration and use an appropriate controlled check before promoting the page.
