Install and use the Queensberry Workspace Lightroom Classic Uploader

The Queensberry Workspace Lightroom Classic Uploader lets you send selected photographs from Lightroom Classic directly to a Workspace gallery. The same plug-in works on Mac and Windows.

Important: This uploader is for Lightroom Classic, not the cloud-based Lightroom app.

Before you start

  • Make sure Lightroom Classic is installed.
  • Check that your Workspace login has access to the company and gallery you want to upload to.
  • Download the Lightroom Classic Uploader from the Workspace Downloads page.

Install the uploader

  1. Quit Lightroom Classic.
  2. Unzip the downloaded file. Inside it is a folder named qbyworkspace.lrplugin.
  3. Move that folder to a permanent place on your computer, such as a Lightroom Plugins folder inside Pictures. Do not leave it in Downloads, because Lightroom needs the folder to remain in the same location.
  4. Open Lightroom Classic.
  5. Choose File > Plug-in Manager.
  6. Click Add, select the qbyworkspace.lrplugin folder, and add it.
  7. Confirm that Queensberry Workspace appears in the Plug-in Manager and is enabled, then click Done.

When selecting the plug-in, choose the qbyworkspace.lrplugin folder itself—not the ZIP file or the folder containing it.

Upload your first images

  1. In Lightroom Classic, select the photographs you want to upload.
  2. Choose File > Export.
  3. Select Queensberry Workspace as the export destination.
  4. Sign in with your Workspace email address and password.
  5. Select the correct company and gallery. You can also create a gallery from the export window if you need a new one.
  6. Choose the file type and image size you want to upload.
  7. Click Export.

Lightroom will render and upload the selected images. When the upload finishes, it will report how many images were uploaded. Workspace may need a short time to finish processing previews before every image appears in the gallery.

To organise images into categories after uploading, see How to upload directly into categories.

Update or reinstall the uploader

  1. In Lightroom Classic, choose File > Plug-in Manager.
  2. Select the old Queensberry Workspace plug-in and click Remove.
  3. Quit Lightroom Classic.
  4. Replace the old plug-in folder with the new qbyworkspace.lrplugin folder from the latest download.
  5. Open Lightroom Classic and add the plug-in again through Plug-in Manager.

Troubleshooting

The plug-in does not appear

Check that you unzipped the download and selected the qbyworkspace.lrplugin folder itself. If you move or rename that folder later, remove the old entry and add it again.

You can sign in but no company or gallery appears

Confirm that the Workspace user has access to an active company and gallery, then sign out and sign in again.

Lightroom reports that it could not load the plug-in

Remove the current entry, download the latest packaged version from the Workspace Downloads page, and reinstall the qbyworkspace.lrplugin folder.

An upload does not complete

Check your internet connection and try again. If the problem continues, contact Queensberry Support and include the error shown by Lightroom.

Use Logout in the export window when you have finished using the uploader on a shared computer.
