Archiving helps you organise older Client Galleries in Workspace. Archiving a gallery does not take it offline. Anyone with an existing gallery link may still be able to open it, subject to its privacy, password and expiration settings.
Archive a gallery
- Open your Client Galleries list.
- Find the gallery you want to organise.
- Choose Archive.
The gallery moves from the active list to the archived galleries list. Its images, collections, settings and existing URL are retained.
Unarchive a gallery
- Open the archived galleries list.
- Find the gallery.
- Choose Unarchive.
Unarchiving returns the gallery to your active list. It does not create a new URL or a new copy of the gallery.
Take a gallery offline
If you want public access to end, use the gallery’s Collection Expiration setting rather than Archive.
- Open the gallery and view All Images.
- Open the gallery settings.
- Set the Collection Expiration date.
- Save the change, then test the public gallery after the expiration time.
Privacy settings control who can enter a gallery, but changing a gallery from Public to Private is not the same as removing it. If the gallery should remain available to selected clients, review its Public, Semi Private or Private setting and password instead.
Before deleting a gallery
Delete a gallery only when you no longer need its images, settings or client activity. First check whether you need to retain favourites, sales information, order records or files for your own business records. Archiving is the safer choice when you only want to tidy your Workspace gallery list.
