Album Designer warnings draw attention to conditions that may affect the printed result. They support your review, but they do not replace checking every image and layout yourself.
What to check when a warning appears
- Whether a face, text, border or important detail is too close to a trimmed page edge.
- Whether important content crosses or sits too close to the centre gutter.
- Whether an image crop leaves enough room for normal production variation.
- Whether an aperture or layout is incomplete.
- Whether the same image has been used more often than intended.
Review the actual layout
Open the affected layout and inspect the crop at a useful size. Move or reframe the image where necessary. Do not dismiss a warning simply because the on-screen preview appears acceptable.
Some choices are deliberate
An edge-to-edge image is designed to extend beyond the finished edge, and a panoramic image may intentionally cross the centre. The important distinction is whether critical content remains protected.
Complete a manual final check
Before client proofing and again before ordering, review every layout for cropping, photosafe areas, gutters, empty apertures and unintended repetitions. See Photosafe Guides for more detail.
