How to add digital downloads to Client Galleries

Add Digital Download products to a Gallery Price List when you want clients to download individual files or an entire collection for free or for a price.

Digital Downloads are designed for Client Galleries. They are not offered as products in a Print Shop.

Open the price list

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Price Lists.
  3. Open the price list used by the Client Gallery.
  4. Select Digital Downloads from the Product Builder navigation.

Add a download product

  1. Select Add Product.
  2. Choose the available download size or file option.
  3. Add the product to the price list.
  4. Enter the selling price. Use a zero price only when you intend the download to be free.

You can add more than one download option when you want to offer different resolutions or purchasing choices. Workspace supplies the customer-facing language for these options. Choose the options and prices that create a clear, useful offer for your clients.

Choose the collection-download settings

When Digital Download products are present, the builder can show additional options:

  • Allow customer to download an entire collection enables a collection-level download choice.
  • Enable direct download of free digital files lets the client download an eligible free file straight to their phone or computer. They do not need to enter an email address or complete the shopping-cart process.

Connect and review the price list

  1. Make sure the Client Gallery uses this price list.
  2. Open the gallery as a client.
  3. To review an entire-collection download, select the gallery’s Download button.
  4. To review an individual-image download, select the download icon shown over the image.
  5. Confirm that the intended download options, prices and Workspace wording appear.
  6. If an entire-collection option is enabled, confirm that it is available for the intended gallery collections.

Protect client access

Gallery access and download permission are separate decisions. Review the gallery’s privacy and login settings before enabling downloads, particularly where the gallery contains private client work.
