Require Email on Login explained

Require Email on Login asks a visitor to enter an email address before viewing the Client Gallery. Use it when recognising gallery visitors is useful and appropriate for the client experience.

Enable it as a default or per gallery

You can review the setting in Image Gallery Defaults for new galleries, or enable it for an individual gallery through that gallery’s settings. Check existing galleries separately; changing a default may not rewrite every gallery already created.

What visitors may be asked for

A visitor may need to provide an email address to enter. Saving favourites can also require a name and password so Workspace can keep that person’s selections distinct.

Review gallery visitors

Open the gallery’s client activity or information area and select the gallery visitors view. Use this information to understand access or support a client request.

Gallery access is not marketing consent

An email address entered to view a gallery must not be added to a marketing audience unless the person has separately and knowingly opted in.

Explain why you collect information and handle it according to your privacy obligations.

Check the experience

  • Open the gallery in a private browser window.
  • Confirm when the email prompt appears.
  • Check whether returning visitors remain recognised.
  • Review favouriting as a separate action.
  • Make sure the gallery still has the intended privacy setting.
