Different charges can apply to a Workspace sale depending on how the customer pays and who fulfils the products. Keeping these amounts separate makes it easier to understand the sale.
Stripe processing fees
Online payments are processed through Stripe. Stripe charges payment-processing fees according to your Stripe account, the payment method and the transaction. These fees are separate from Workspace and Queensberry fulfilment costs.
Self-fulfilled products
Workspace does not charge commission on self-fulfilled products. You remain responsible for the cost of producing, packing and delivering them. Stripe processing fees may still apply to the payment.
Queensberry-fulfilled products
When Queensberry fulfils a product, the sale includes the applicable wholesale product cost and may include freight, tax and other fulfilment charges. These are the costs of supplying the order, rather than Stripe processing fees.
Orders containing both fulfilment types
If a customer buys Queensberry-fulfilled and self-fulfilled products together, each product follows its own fulfilment path. Workspace does not charge commission on the self-fulfilled products. Queensberry costs apply only where Queensberry is supplying the product, and Stripe processing fees may apply to the payment.
Allow for every cost when pricing
Before making a price list available, allow for product costs, packaging, shipping, payment processing, tax where applicable and the amount you intend to retain from the sale. Your Stripe and Workspace records show different parts of the transaction, so use both when reconciling sales.
