You can use a Workspace Print Shop alongside a website hosted elsewhere. The simplest approach is to add a clear link from your main website to the live Print Shop.
Before you add the link
- Publish the Print Shop and confirm its public URL.
- Check the shop name, branding, price list, products and delivery settings.
- Open the link in a private browser window to confirm customers can reach it.
Add the Print Shop to your main navigation
In your external website builder, add a navigation item such as Print Shop, Shop Prints or Fine Art Prints. Set its destination to the public URL of your Workspace Print Shop.
You can open the shop in the same browser tab for a more continuous journey. If you choose a new tab, make sure the link behaviour is clear and works well on mobile.
Link from other parts of your website
You can also add buttons or text links from your home page, portfolio, blog posts and campaign landing pages. Use specific wording so visitors understand what they will find after selecting the link.
Keep the experience consistent
Add your current logo and business details in Workspace, then use Website Styles to align fonts, colours and common elements with your main website where practical. Workspace no longer uses the former theme system. Styled component libraries and website templates are planned to provide additional starting points over time.
The two sites do not need to be visually identical, but customers should be able to recognise that the Print Shop belongs to your business.
Using a custom domain
If your Workspace account and domain setup support it, a custom domain or subdomain can make the transition clearer—for example, shop.yourdomain.com. Follow the current Workspace custom-domain instructions and update your DNS only after confirming the exact records required.
Check the complete path
- Start on your main website.
- Open the Print Shop link.
- Browse a collection and product.
- Review the cart and checkout information.
- Return to your main website.
Repeat the check on a phone as well as a desktop browser. If you later change the shop URL or domain, update every external link that points to it.
