Your Workspace website adapts to different screen sizes, but you still need to review how your particular images, text and layout behave. A page that feels balanced on a large monitor can become long, crowded or awkward on a phone.
Use preview while you work
Use Preview or the split-screen preview for quick layout checks. It is useful while editing, but should not be your only mobile check.
Open the site on real devices
After saving, open the page on at least one phone. If possible, also check a tablet and a second browser. Real devices reveal touch behaviour, browser controls, connection speed and screen proportions that may not be obvious in the editor.
Review each part
- Navigation: the menu opens, labels fit and nested items are easy to select.
- Opening view: the first screen explains who you are and what the page offers.
- Text: headings wrap cleanly and paragraphs are comfortable to read.
- Images: important subjects remain visible after responsive cropping.
- Columns: content stacks in an order that still makes sense.
- Buttons: actions are obvious, easy to tap and not crowded together.
- Forms: fields fit and the form can be completed and submitted.
- Galleries and slideshows: controls and captions remain usable.
- Footer: contact information and final links remain readable.
Watch for long pages
Multi-column desktop layouts generally stack on smaller screens. Remove repetition, keep text concise and make sure the important action is not buried beneath too much introductory content.
Check loading as well as appearance
Test without relying only on a fast office connection. Large images, several slideshows or too many embedded elements can slow a page. Reduce unnecessary content and use web-ready images if it feels heavy.
Repeat the check after important changes
Review mobile behaviour whenever you change Website Styles, navigation, section layouts, banners or major image selections. A small shared style change can affect more than the page you were editing.
